Mechanic’s hammer made of carbon steel, equivalent to OLC55, forged for quality improvement and heat-treated, with a hardness of the active parts (striking face and peen) of 50...58 HRC. For additional protection it is painted.
The handle is made of ash wood, known for impact resistance, shock absorption without cracking, and flexibility (elasticity).
The parts are assembled by pressing, and secured with two wedges: one of the same wood to lock the handle into the metal part, and a second, metal one for sealing.
Recommended for workpieces with a hardness of maximum 44 HRC.
